The main goal of e-STAS is to encourage, foster and adapt the use of new technologies for social action and citizen empowerment.
Specific goals
1. Bringing together around 200 experts and professionals in different areas, 40% internationally, who are working on creative and innovative projects for social innovation through new technologies.
2. Creating a publication prior to the event to collect the results of discussions and reflections of the preliminary work.
3. To generate a social networking among the 200 attendees (which allows the creation of social projects).
4. To create, share and promote all kinds of plans, programs, projects and activities that are intended to promote citizen empowerment, to bridge the digital divide and to promote the knowledge society through multi-stakeholder participation and socio-technological innovation.
5. To create a social networking on the event which would give continuity to the work done before and during the event.
6. To be an international Symposium and cross reference on Social Action and ICT for citizen empowerment.
7. To continue with the ICT and inclusion content covered in the World Summit on the Information Society in a practical and demonstrative way.
