Aims of e-STAS
The mission of e-STAS is to promote, develop and adapt the use of ICT's for Social Action. The multisectorial engagement between NGOs, Administrations, Academic Community, Medias and Business Companies through ideas, programs and actions is the tool. To achieve its mission e-STAS has non-exclusive objectives, which are:
- Create social awareness, generate positive social and cultural attitudes for the importance of New Technologies for the development and progress of society.
- To promote and improve the use of ICT's for social action and development from a multisectorial view.
- Exchange and encourage all kinds of programs, projects and activities aimed at bridge the digital divide by integrating the work of volunteers in the promotion of the Knowledge Society
- Contribute to a proper and responsible development of contents, services, tools and access to the Knowledge Society
- Detect and discuss, from different perspectives, the barriers that prevent to know and use the ICT's, especially the physical, social and cultural ones.
- Be a Symposium of reference for Social Action and TIC's. Participate in e-STAS is a declaration to society of your compromise and will to bridge the digital divide by betting for innovative strategies related to ICT's and the Social Action.
